Griffin and Prewitt give free concertSept. 29, 2008 KALAMAZOO--Western Michigan University music faculty members Monica Griffin and Ken Prewitt will present a recital of vocal works at 8:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, in the Dalton Center Recital Hall. The concert is open to the public free of charge. In addition to duets by the two singers, Griffin will present music of Henri Duparc as well as the "Gypsy Songs" of Antonin Dvorak. Prewitt will sing a new song cycle titled "The Castle Builder" by Memphis composer Michael Drompp, and Benjamin Britten's "Abraham and Isaac" with countertenor Andrew Prewitt.
