Dance concerts showcase student works

KALAMAZOO--There is something for everyone at the Orchesis Dance Concert, Wednesday through Sunday, Nov. 5-9, in Dance Studio B of the Dalton Center at Western Michigan University.

Wednesday, Nov. 5, 8 p.m.
Thursday, Nov. 6, 8 p.m.
Friday, Nov. 7, midnight
Saturday, Nov. 8, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Sunday, Nov. 9, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Admission is $8, $5 for WMU students and $3 for Friday's late-night show. Tickets may be purchased in advance at 4orchesis@yahoo.com or at the door.

The concert features the choreographic, performance and technical skill of WMU students through dance pieces ranging in styles from energetic hip hop to quirky modern to fluid lyrical dance. This concert is a starting point for dance students to begin their journey into artistic independence and expression. The concert is produced entirely by the Orchesis Dance Society, made up of WMU students interested in the art of dance.
