Nov. 26, 2008

KALAMAZOO--Western Michigan University presents the annual holiday favorite, "Choral Christmas," featuring all four of its traditional choral ensembles, Saturday, Dec. 6. Concerts begin at 4 and 7:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 321 W. South St., in Kalamazoo.

General admission tickets to the performance are $10 and $5 for students and senior citizens. They may be purchased at the door or in advance through the Miller Auditorium Ticket Office at (269) 387-2300, toll free at (800) 228-9858, or online at millerauditorium.com.

The famous Christmas Eve concerts at the King's College Chapel in Cambridge, England, are the inspiration for this choral offering, which showcases the talents of the WMU Collegiate Singers, University Chorale, Men's Ensemble and all-women chorus, Cantus Femina. Faculty organist Karl Schrock will be featured with a brass ensemble, percussion and more than 100 singers. The program includes traditional holiday favorites as well as music appropriate for such a grand setting and space.
