Bookstore paying cash for used books

Dec. 4, 2008

KALAMAZOO--Western Michigan University students can sell used books to the WMU Bookstore during the December Book Buyback at Textbook Alley in the Bernhard Center Monday through Saturday, Dec. 8-13, and in Schneider Hall and Britton/Hadley Hall Monday through Thursday, Dec. 8-11.

Part of the proceeds from buyback will be donated to purchase items for holiday care packages to send to Broncos in the military who are deployed abroad. WMU's Advocacy Office for Transfer Students and Military Affairs is coordinating the care package effort.

Students will receive up to 50 percent of the new-book price if the book is needed by the store. If the book is not needed by the WMU Bookstore, it may still be purchased for resale in the national market, subject to prevailing market value.
