Gifts near $3.5 million in four monthsDec. 15, 2008 KALAMAZOO--According to a report at the Dec. 12, meeting of the Western Michigan University Board of Trustees, WMU received $3,451,377 in gifts during the first four months of the 2008-09 fiscal year, July 1 to Oct. 31. The amount received this year represents a decline of $1,484,173 compared to the same period for 2007-08. It is, however, an increase of $445,048 compared to the same period two years ago.
