One Stop makes going back to school a breezeDec. 22, 2008 KALAMAZOO--As thousands of students pour back to campus, Western Michigan University will once again offer a one-stop service center to those wishing to take care of last-minute business associated with the start of a new semester. WMU's temporary One Stop Convenience Center offers students and their parents an assortment of campus services in one convenient location. The operation will be assembled on the second floor of the Bernhard Center the first four days of spring classes, Monday through Thursday, Jan. 5-8, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Those visiting One Stop will be able to get new Bronco ID cards, pay bills, purchase campus parking permits, arrange for campus housing and sign up for WMU meal plans. They also may pick up information on financial aid, employment opportunities, and immunizations and other campus health care services. The convenience center will be staffed by representatives from several different areas, including the offices of Information Technology, Residence Life, and Student Financial Aid and Scholarships; Accounts Receivable; Bronco Card Center; Career and Student Employment Services; Parking Services; Registrar's Office; Sindecuse Health Center; and WMU Dining Services. Bronco Express, the year-round service center located on the main floor of WMU's Bernhard Center, will remain open to assist students with financial aid and making payments to their student accounts. The WMU Bookstore and TotalTech, the University's computer store, will also assist students one floor down from One Stop. As a reminder, the University will be closed Dec. 25 through Jan. 4 for holiday recess. Residence halls will reopen at 9 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, and offices will reopen with the beginning of spring semester at 8 a.m. Monday, Jan. 5. For more information, visit wmich.edu/registrar/onestop.
