'A Christmas Tale' at Little Theatre

KALAMAZOO--Kalamazoo Film Society presents "A Christmas Tale" Friday through Sunday, Feb. 6-8, in the Little Theatre at Western Michigan University.

Show times are 7 and 10 p.m. Friday; 4, 7 and 10 p.m. Saturday; and 2:30 and 5:30 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $5 and $3 for students.

Catherine Deneuve stars as the dying matriarch of an estranged French family in this brilliantly acted dark comedy. A mother's dying wish is to gather the family for what could be their last Christmas. But when siblings who haven't spoken in years reunite, old wounds are opened and new ones formed.

Directed by Arnaud Desplechin, the 2008 film is shown in French with English subtitles. It has a run time of 150 minutes and is not rated.

The Little Theatre is located at the corner of Oakland Drive and Oliver Lane on WMU's East Campus. Free off-street parking is available behind the theatre.
