Music students perform comic opera

KALAMAZOO--Western Michigan University music students will present two performances of Mozart's comic opera "The Magic Flute" Friday and Saturday, Feb. 20-21. Shows begin at 8 p.m. in the Dalton Center Recital Hall.

"The Magic Flute" tells the story of Prince Tamino's search for love and truth in a mythical kingdom inhabited by such characters as the bird-catcher Papageno and the mysterious Queen of the Night. The opera will be presented in English by a 40-member cast accompanied by a chamber ensemble.

Tickets are $15, $7 for students and $10 for senior citizens.
