Student drummers present annual concert

KALAMAZOO--Western Michigan University's Drum Choir will present its annual concert at 8:15 p.m. Sunday, March 22, in the Dalton Center Recital Hall. The performance is open to the public free of charge.

This year's concert will feature student arrangements of tunes by the Beatles, Wynton Marsalis, Thelonious Monk and Tito Puente, as well as original student compositions.

The WMU Drum Choir is an undergraduate student ensemble directed by music instructor Keith Hall. This year's student drummers are Ryan Andrews, Pete Breithaupt, Ashley Ickes, Evan Hyde, Derek Swink, Kenny Befus and Sammy Parsons.
