Retirement reception honors Gail MacNellisMarch 12, 2009 KALAMAZOO--A reception honoring Gail MacNellis for her 36 years of service to Western Michigan University will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, March 19, in the atrium lobby of the Gilmore Theatre Complex. Friends and colleagues of MacNellis are cordially invited. Light refreshments will be served, and brief remarks will be offered at 5 p.m. MacNellis began her career at WMU in 1972 and worked for nine years in residence life as a secretary. She moved to the College of Fine Arts dean's office in 1981, where she has worked ever since as office coordinator. She officially retires March 31.
