Job opportunities for teachers

April 16, 2009

KALAMAZOO--Job opportunities for teachers will be showcased during Western Michigan University's 21st annual Teacher Education Career Fair from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, April 20, in the East Ballroom of the Bernhard Center.

The event, which is free and open to the public, is designed to recruit teachers for K-12 educational systems for the 2009-10 academic year and to provide information about WMU's graduate-school opportunities.

This year's event will feature recruiters representing more than 85 school districts in Michigan and 17 other states as well as China and Korea. Candidates for teaching positions do not need to preregister for the fair, but should dress in interview attire and bring a sufficient supply of resumes to distribute to prospective employers.
