WMU sets tuition for regional sites, online coursesJuly 7, 2009 KALAMAZOO--Acting at its July 2 meeting, Western Michigan University's Board of Trustees approved tuition and fee increases for courses offered through WMU's Extended University Programs, effective fall semester 2009.
The measure passed by the board means that EUP undergraduate students will pay $318.28 per credit hour, an increase of $20.82 per credit hour, while graduate tuition will rise to $449.94 per credit hour, an increase of $29.44 per credit hour over last year's tuition. The new rates represent a 7 percent tuition increase compared with the 2008-09 academic year. EUP tuition rates are charged separately from flat-rate tuition assessed for full-time WMU undergraduates. EUP students also will be assessed a $20-per-class technology fee, which is unchanged from the past year. Through Extended University Programs, WMU maintains regional sites in Battle Creek, Benton Harbor/St. Joseph, Grand Rapids, Lansing, Muskegon and Traverse City. EUP also oversees the University's online course offerings. More information about EUP tuition and fees is available online. Media contact: Thom Myers, (269) 387-8400, thom.myers@wmich.edu WMU News |
