Bronco Transit adds new downtown service

KALAMAZOO--Western Michigan University's Bronco Transit is providing a new Downtown Express service that will run from main campus to the downtown Kalamazoo transit station every Friday. From there, passengers can hop on the Amtrak or take a bus to their destination. Return service from the transit station back to campus will only be offered on Sunday.

As with all other Bronco Transit routes, the Downtown Express service is free to those with a Bronco ID Card.

Friday departure will be during the following times:

  • Valley 2, 2:15 p.m.
  • Valley 1, 2:17 p.m.
  • Loading zone between Rood Hall and Fetzer Center, 2:32 p.m.
  • Arcadia Road, 2:34 p.m.

On Sunday, all Indian Trail buses departing the transit station at the times listed below will stop at WMU's Student Recreation Center upon request.

  • Depart at 2:35 p.m.; arrive at WMU at 2:45 p.m.
  • Depart at 5:25 p.m.; arrive at WMU at 5:35 p.m.
  • Depart at 7:50 p.m.; arrive at WMU at 8 p.m.
