KALAMAZOO--Western Michigan University Theatre will present Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Carousel" Nov. 12-21 in Shaw Theatre at WMU's Gilmore Theatre Complex.

Featuring the landmark songs "If I Loved You" and "You'll Never Walk Alone," the passionate and dangerous love story of Billy Bigelow and Julie Jordan has captured the hearts of audiences for more than 60 years. Experience the redemption of love in what Time magazine called "the best musical of the 20th century."

Cast and creative team

The all-student cast includes Billy Casey, Dru Daniels, Adelina Feldman-Schultz, Ben Maters, Chelsea Morgan, Sam Ramirez, Ahren Rehmel, Elizabeth Terrel, Alicia Thoel and Ashley Travis.

The production is under the direction of Jay Berkow, associate professor of theatre, with musical direction by David Little and choreography by Kirsten Harvey. The creative team includes Kathryn Wagner, assistant professor of theatre, as well as WMU students Melanie A. Berg, lighting design; Cole Butcher, stage management; Denise Dietrich, scenic design; and Sara Tomaszewski, sound design.

Chorus members include Keith Brown, Jody Burns, Andrew Danowski, Joe Dely, Samantha Downes, Samantha Galvin, Megan Jacobson, Chas Lowery, Brian Martin, Zach McConnell, Michael Miller, Julia Mitchell, Shari Montville, Sue-Yenn Ng, Kayla Peabody, Cait Ryan, Nathaniel Schick, Tyler Schoen, Martin Skocelas-Hunter, Caitlin Stafford, Sarah Waalkes and Jared Woodhouse.

Swings include Sophia Araoz, Zach Bezdziecki, Danielle Campbell, Matt Felkey, Blair Grotbeck and Meridith Keller.

Reserved seating for "Carousel" at Shaw Theatre is $20, $15 for senior citizens and WMU employees, and $5 for students.
