'Great Sexpectations' being staged in residence hallsNov. 12, 2009 KALAMAZOO--One of Western Michigan University's educational theatre programs for college students, "Great Sexpectations," is being staged in various residence halls next week.
The show is an innovative and informational production that takes the audience on a journey into the world of sex, seduction, drinking and social pressure with a perspective unique to college students. It focuses on efforts to help students make informed decisions that will reduce the risk of unwanted sexual experiences. "Great Sexpectations" already has been performed this fall in Bigelow, Hoekje, Siedschlag and Zimmerman halls. It is a production of the Sindecuse Health Center's Theater for Community Health and the Balancing Act Troupe. The theatre program also puts on productions of "The Real Buzz," which focuses on alcohol use and misuse. Open theatre auditions Theater for Community Health is looking for cast and crew members for spring productions of "Great Sexpectations" and "The Real Buzz." Auditions are open to all WMU students.
