Oak Ridge Boys in town for the holidaysDec. 2, 2009 KALAMAZOO--Celebrate the holidays with the Oak Ridge Boys. The group will be on the campus of Western Michigan University for a Christmas show at 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11, at Miller Auditorium.
The 20th annual Oak Ridge Boys Christmas tour will take the group to 37 cities in 14 states. The two-hour show opens with such favorites as "Elvira," "Bobbie Sue" and "Thank God for Kids." This year, the boys are adding new music from their new album, "The Boys are Back," which includes the Jamey Johnson-penned new single "Mama's Table." The seasonal portion of the show features songs from the Oak Ridge Boys' five best-selling Christmas CDs--a mixture of traditional and contemporary songs, including religious, romantic and fun holiday tunes. An appearance by Santa will delight the kids, and the festive sets and falling snow will warm the audience and remind everyone of the reason for the season.
