Registration under way for Junior Golf ClinicJan. 20, 2010 KALAMAZOO--Western Michigan University will hold a golf clinic on Saturday, Feb. 7, for students in grades four through 12. The clinic at the Seelye Center is open to young people of all skill levels and is designed to be a fun and informative session on the game of golf. The cost is $60, but participants can save $10 by registering online.
There will be two sessions during the clinic. The first is geared toward students in the fourth through eighth grade. Registration begins at 11 a.m. with 90 minutes of instruction. Students in the ninth through 12th grade will register for the second session at 1 p.m., followed by 90 minutes of instruction. WMU head golf coach Cindy Trout and volunteer assistant coach and PGA professional Clark Peterson will serve as instructors, as will current WMU golfer and 2009 Michigan Women's Amateur Champion Britney Hamilton and the rest of the WMU golf team.
