University seeks feedback on self-study report

Feb. 15, 2010

KALAMAZOO--Since October 2008, Western Michigan University has been engaged in a process of self-reflection and analysis in preparation for its 10-year evaluation review by the Higher Learning Commission.

The results of that self-study have been compiled into a first-draft report that WMU's HLC self-study steering committee released last week.

The committee invites members of the University community to read the draft report for accuracy, errors of fact and fulsomeness.

Readers are encouraged to share their observations regarding fulfillment of the self-study goals of performing a data-driven, analytical and future-oriented self-study. Descriptions of self-study themes accompany the report, and readers also are asked to comment on how clearly they are conveyed.

The draft report and a log of comments is available at wmich.edu/hlc.
