New center to focus on information technologyApril 16, 2010 KALAMAZOO--During its April 15 meeting, Western Michigan University's Board of Trustees approved the creation of a new Center for Health Information Technology Advancement. The new center will address both state and federal priorities aimed at using technology to reform health care delivery. Faculty members from both the Department of Business Information Systems and WMU's Bronson School of Nursing will collaborate and pursue external resources to support research in an initiative that has already received support from area hospitals, health care companies and communities.
