Voter information available online

KALAMAZOO--Western Michigan University is again making voter information easier to find with a Web page aimed at increasing political participation among students and the general public.

Primary elections will be held Tuesday, Aug. 3, throughout Michigan with polls open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. The voter information page provides online answers to questions such as, "Where do I vote?" and "How do I get an absentee ballot?"

Voter information provided at wmich.edu/vote is from the Michigan secretary of state with links to more information.

  • Find out if you are already registered to vote at your current address.
  • Find your precinct number and polling location.
  • View a sample of your ballot for the Aug. 3 election.
  • Find out if you're eligible to vote absentee.

You can speed the voting process by checking your sample ballot online, discussing issues and candidates with family and friends, and deciding how you'll vote before you go to the polls.

Exercise your right and responsibility as a citizen. Vote in Michigan's Aug. 3 primary elections.
