HR slates six training programsJan. 19, 2011 KALAMAZOO--"The Way Western Works" training series will continue this spring with six more free sessions that provide useful information about University processes, departments and resources. The sessions are open to all employees and will be held from 10:30 a.m. to noon in the Fetzer Center. The first session on Tuesday, Jan. 25, will be an overview of WMU wellness initiatives. It will cover the Holtyn One-to-One program, as well as recreation facility locations and other resources available to employees. Future sessions will cover PeopleSoft electronic workflow, Logistical Services, the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, Career and Student Employment Services, and the Office for Sustainability. The series is designed to help WMU employees gain a better understanding of how individual jobs and units mesh together to fulfill the University's mission. It brings to light interconnections and allows employees to build their own organizational awareness as they continue to serve students and other constituents. Space is limited, and pre-registration is required for each session. Refreshments will be provided. Visit wmich.edu/hr/development/series to register or obtain details.
