Sign up now to return to residence halls this fallJan. 24, 2011 KALAMAZOO--Online registration is open to all Western Michigan University students who plan to return to the residence halls this fall.
The Residence Hall and Dining Advantage ensures that room and board rates will remain the same for four consecutive years. As a component of the University's Western Edge commitment, room and board rates are automatically locked in the first year a student signs a housing contract, so there is no additional paperwork to fill out. The VIP Bronco program through Residence Life offers free intramurals and fitness classes to students living in the residence halls. The Second-Year Experience learning community in French Hall focuses on common second-year issues and assists with internship guidance, studying abroad and networking with WMU alumni. The Academic Achievement Incentive allows students who sign up for a single room in the residence halls for 2011-12 to save up to $2,410 by receiving the lower double rate if their cumulative GPA is 3.25 or higher at the end of spring semester. Students with sophomore status or higher at the start of fall 2011 are eligible. Space is limited, so interested students are encouraged to sign up early, while single rooms are still available. Sign up at wmich.edu/housing/sign-up to take advantage of these and other great benefits. For additional details, contact the Residence Life office at rl-staff@wmich.edu or (269) 387-4735.
