Public input sought for new archives facilityJan. 25, 2011 Update: Due to the blizzard warning in effect for the area, this workshop has been postponed. It will be rescheduled in the near future. KALAMAZOO--Members of the Western Michigan University and local communities are invited to attend a workshop on development of a new facility for WMU's Archives and Regional History Collections. The workshop is set for 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1, on campus in the Fetzer Center. The event is designed to acquire input on the new facility as well as provide information about ongoing activities. WMU is in the planning phase of developing a new home for Archives and Regional History Collections that is suitable for long-term storage of archival materials. The proposed conceptual design for the new facility will be presented during the workshop by SHW Group, the architect for the project.
