Robert "Bob" F. Overmyer Sr.Feb. 9, 2011 Robert "Bob" F. Overmyer Sr., a Western Michigan University public safety officer for almost 20 years, died Jan. 23 in Kalamazoo. He was 89. A native of Indianapolis, Overmyer was a veteran who served in the Army Air Corps in the Asian Pacific Theatre during World War II as a communications operator. He joined WMU in 1967 and retired in 1986. Services were held in January in Kalamazoo. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Multiple Sclerosis Society.
