Reception to celebrate success of RACE exhibit

Feb. 10, 2011

KALAMAZOO--A community reception for those who supported the exhibit "RACE: Are we so different?" and related activities during the past year will be held Tuesday, Feb. 15, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Fetzer Center at Western Michigan University.

Sponsored by WMU and the RACE Exhibit Initiative, the free reception is being held in appreciation of the many community partners who supported the exhibit through planning programs, bringing groups to experience RACE and overall extending the reach of the exhibit. With refreshments, updates from facilitators and partners, and networking, the reception serves as an important opportunity for community members to celebrate the success of RACE and continue to work towards racial healing in southwest Michigan.

Open to all community members, registration is requested by Friday, Feb. 11, for organizers to plan for food. Contact Zarinah El-Amin Naeem, coordinator of programming for the WMU Office of Diversity and Inclusion, at zarinah.el-amin@wmich.edu.
