Bronco Biodiesel one of seven 'great ideas' gettig innovation funds

Seven initiatives funded through President's Innovation Fund (Feb. 15) President announces "truly transformational" projects receiving between $26,000 and $400,000.

Bronco Biodiesel will fuel Kalamazoo buses (Oct. 19) WMU to produce 100,000 gallons of biodiesel from restaurant waste grease to power Metro Transit buses.

WMU takes on Cincinnati in first International Bowl (Dec. 4) Broncos and Bearcats meet Jan. 6 in Toronto for first bowl game played outside the U.S. since 1937.



Women's tennis team wins MAC Championship (May 1) WMU also wins MAC Tournament, advances to NCAA Tournament; Malena Remynse is MAC Player of the Year.

Bronco women bring home Jacoby Trophy (June 1) WMU finishes first for MAC women's all-sports throphy and places fourth in the men's totals.
