'Acting Against Poverty' food drive supports WMU students in need
KALAMAZOO, Mich.--The faculty, staff and students of the Department of Theatre at Western Michigan University are supporting WMU’s Invisible Need Project food pantry this year with its annual "Acting Against Poverty" food drive.
The food drive will run in conjunction with the department’s production of "Hair" and will be open for donations until Monday, Nov. 24.
WMU students, faculty and staff, as well as community members, are encouraged to bring canned food items and other non-perishables to the Gilmore Theatre Complex. All donations will be contributed to the Invisible Need Project food pantry, which helps students year round.
The Invisible Need Project is a multifaceted initiative intended to serve students with unmet needs, while strengthening the culture of giving at Western Michigan University. The project engages the entire campus community, encouraging all faculty, staff, administrators and fellow students to come together to help students in need.
