Jill Burns is a co-founder of Austin Cocktails and oversees marketing, branding, packaging design, drink development and batching. Before starting Austin Cocktails, she spent the previous twenty years building a professional career in marketing and public relations. Burns developed her PR and marketing expertise at renown sports agency Steinberg and Moorad, where she handled athlete endorsements, public relations, media relations, and production of events. Eventually, this expertise led Burns to open her own company in San Francisco, Jill Peterson Management (JPM), where she worked with a number of top tier local and national clients. Important for the future of Austin Cocktails, one of her clients at was a start-up beverage company. Ultimately, Burns’ extensive work with that client helped guide the inception of Austin Cocktails and provide valuable experience that would ultimately shape the flavor and the quality of the company’s signature drinks.
Burns has been featured in various media and is sought out as a speaker on topics ranging from bootstrapping a CPG company to navigating the landscape of modern marketing. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Santa Clara University.
