Ban George is the national director for Kroger Health, where she has proudly served for 27 years. She joined Kroger in 1999 as a pharmacy student intern and built a career rooted in care, trust and impact. In her current role, George oversees seven Kroger Health divisions and leads efforts to expand access to healthcare, strengthen community partnerships and advance community wellness. She remains deeply committed to Kroger because of its Purpose to Feed the Human Spirit™ and its vision of helping people live healthier lives.
Originally from Baghdad, Iraq, George is fluent in English, Arabic and Chaldean (Aramaic) and brings a culturally informed perspective to advancing equitable, community-based care. Her leadership and impact have been recognized through industry honors, including Top Women in Health, Wellness and Beauty by DSN and Progressive Grocer’s Top Women in Grocery. She also serves on Kroger’s DE&I associate resource group steering committee, contributing to initiatives that advance inclusion and equity across the organization.
