Katie Hotze is an entrepreneur and expert in technology, data strategy and retail innovation. With nearly 20 years of experience in management consulting, she transitioned into the entrepreneurial world in 2019, founding Shopii Technologies to address her own frustrations with grocery shopping and meal planning. Under her leadership, Shopii transformed the grocery shopping experience, offering a platform that saved time for shoppers while unlocking new media inventory for retailers and brands. The platform’s impact was recognized by Progressive Grocer as the “Best Tech Application of 2019.”
Today, Hotze is leading the creation of a next-generation incubator for emerging food brands in partnership with Scott Anderson, owner and CEO of Alliance Sales and Marketing. Leveraging her grocery technology background, she is designing a tech-first suite of marketing solutions to drive trial, repeat purchases and velocity for early-stage brands, helping them surpass category midpoints and achieve rapid success.
A two-time recipient of Top Women in Grocery, Hotze is an active contributor to the industry, serving on the Food Marketing Advisory Board at Western Michigan University and on advisory councils for FMI and Amazon’s CPG vertical. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Virginia Commonwealth University and an MBA from William & Mary.
Hotze resides in Charlotte, North Carolina, with her two children and a poorly behaved kitten named Wendy.
