Jenn Martin is the vice president of merchandising for Fresh at Meijer, a privately-owned and family-operated Grand Rapids, Michigan-based retailer that operates more than 500 supercenters, neighborhood markets, Meijer grocery and express locations throughout Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Wisconsin. She joined Meijer in 2012 and has held multiple roles within merchandising, including vice president of healthy, beauty and baby.
In her current role, Martin leads 70 team members who are responsible for the assortment selection, merchandising, inventory management and in-store experience of the produce, meat, seafood, deli, bakery and floral departments. She is also responsible for P&L management to deliver sales growth and net direct margin across the chain.
Martin has been recognized as one of Progressive Grocer’s Top Women in Grocery in 2016 and 2022, Drug Store News Top Women in Health & Beauty in 2019 and included in Mass Market Retailing’s Women of Influence several times.
She is a graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in human resources. She serves on the Grand Rapids Community College Foundation Board as chair of the stewardship and outreach committee. Prior to joining Meijer, she spent two years at Target Corporation in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and five years with L Brands, working in various planning functions for Victoria’s Secret and Bath and Body Works in Columbus, Ohio, and New York, New York.
