Joey Matos is a passionate and authentic sales leader with more than 20 years of experience in the consumer packaged goods industry. He currently serves as Senior Director of Sales for Danone North America’s Central Sales Division, where he leads a cross-functional team supporting key customers including Meijer, HEB and SpartanNash.
Prior to Danone, Joey spent 13 years at Conagra Brands in both customer-facing and headquarter leadership roles. His experience spanned Business Development, Revenue Growth Management, and Trade Operations, along with leading sales teams for major retailers such as Target and Walmart. He began his career at Foster Farms Poultry, where he held roles in IT and Category Leadership — a foundation that gave him a unique blend of technical expertise and data-driven decision making.
Joey earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from California State University, Stanislaus, and an MBA from the University of the Pacific. His career reflects a balance of strategic leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and a commitment to building strong partnerships across the retail landscape.
