Sunny Yurasek

Sunny Yurasek recently joined Decision Point Analytics, an AI think tank, as the Vice President, Client Development, North America. She also teaches courses as an adjunct professor at Saint Joseph’s University and Western Michigan University on topics like business analytics and generative AI in food marketing. 

She has held positions at several well-known companies, including Diageo, Reyes Holdings, and Constellation Brands. In her previous industry role as senior director of data and analytics at Diageo, she was responsible for assessing analytical maturity and developing long-range business intelligence strategies across North America. She worked closely with the global data science team in creating proof of concept models to test business hypotheses and prioritize business demands, while building a data centric culture to elevate end-to-end business adoption.

Prior to Diageo, Yurasek served as director, business analytics integration at Reyes Holdings in their beer division, where she provided thought leadership in emerging data and analytic technologies and leveraged data into viable use cases using AI and machine learning. She also created an organizational analytical strategy to enable growth in data science usage across sales, e-commerce and supply chain.

During her CPG tenure, she led several successful projects, including the development of a basket recommendation engine for suggested selling, a warehouse bin optimization model for logistic efficiency, and an assortment optimization system for maximizing product mix by revenue and volume.

Yurasek earned a Bachelor of Arts in international business at Murray State University, and a Master of Science in data science with a concentration in AI from Northwestern University.
