Western Film Society presents 'Blue Valentine'

KALAMAZOO--Western Film Society presents the romantic drama "Blue Valentine," starring Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams, Friday through Sunday, April 15-17, in the Little Theatre at Western Michigan University.

Show times are Friday and Saturday at 7 and 9:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 and 5 p.m. General admission is $5 and $3 for WMU students with a valid Bronco Card.

In Golden Globe-nominated performances, Gosling and Williams portray Dean Pereira and Cindy Heller, a couple seen both in the early days of their courtship as well as years later throughout the ups and downs of their tumultuous marriage. Williams also received an Oscar nomination for her performance in "Blue Valentine."

Written and directed by Derek Cianfrance, the 2010 film has a run time of 112 minutes and is shown in English. Originally rated NC-17, the film is rated R for strong graphic sexual content, coarse language and violence.

Parking and directions

The Little Theatre is located at the corner of Oakland Drive and Oliver Lane on WMU's East Campus. Free off-street parking is available behind the theatre.
