KALAMAZOO--Western Michigan University faculty proposals for National Endowment for Humanities 2012 Summer Stipend awards are being accepted through Wednesday, July 6.
NEH Summer Stipends are $6,000 awards given to two faculty members for research during summer months. Candidates are nominated by their respective institutions, and a maximum of two applications are allowed per institution.
Any two members of the WMU faculty may be nominated. An anonymous panel of WMU faculty peers will conduct an initial review of applications, followed by a second review by the associate deans. The associate vice president for research will make the final selection.
To apply for nomination, submit the following to the appropriate college associate dean no later than 4:30 p.m. July 6. Letters of recommendation are not required for the internal review process.
