HPER gets new name and Web address

Human performance and health education
KALAMAZOO--The academic department previously known as health, physical education and recreation at Western Michigan University is now the Department of Human Performance and Health Education.

WMU's Board of Trustees approved the name change at its Feb. 24 meeting.

Human performance and health education better reflects the types of academic programs the department offers today.

Consistent with the name change, the department has a new Web address: wmich.edu/humanperformance. Anyone with bookmarks or links to the previous address, wmich.edu/coe/hper, should update them as soon as possible.
