Ralph W. Allen

Ralph W. Allen, a former Western Michigan University staff member, died Aug. 3. He was 76.

Allen joined the WMU staff in 1964. He retired in 1994 as manager of what is now Facilities Management-maintenance services after more than 30 years of service to the University.

A Kalamazoo resident, Allen was active with Oakwood Little League for some 20 years and was an avid golfer.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Nancy Allen; four sons; two sisters; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held Aug. 8 at St. Augustine Catholic Cathedral in Kalamazoo. Visit Langeland Family Funeral Homes online to make a memorial guestbook entry.
