KALAMAZOO--Every year, Gull Meadow Farms near Kalamazoo creates a maze in a six-acre cornfield featuring some symbol of the region. The Kalamazoo Air Zoo was the theme in 2008, and this year's maze features the Western Michigan University Bronco logo.

"This year, it was just an easy fit, and we haven't done anything with Western before," Manager Justin Wendzel told the Kalamazoo Gazette. Wendzel is a 2005 WMU graduate and constructed the maze after receiving permission from WMU athletic marketing to use the registered trademark.

As if finding your way through the maze weren't challenging enough, each visitor is given a card, and there are five hidden stations with hole punches for the card. Everyone getting all five punches will be entered in a drawing to win tickets to a Bronco football, volleyball or other sports contest this fall.

The maze is open through the end of October from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission to the maze is $5, and free for children age 2 and younger.

Gull Meadow Farms is at 8544 Gull Road in Richland. Visit gullmeadowfarms.com for more information.
