KALAMAZOO--The Western Film Society will present the area debut of "The Future" Friday through Sunday, Nov. 18-20, at Western Michigan University's Little Theatre.

Show times are Friday and Saturday at 7 and 9:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 and 5 p.m. General admission is $5 and $3 for WMU students with a valid Bronco Card.

"The Future" is the latest film from writer and director Miranda July, the acclaimed creator of 2005's "Me and You and Everyone We Know." July stars in the film alongside Hamish Linklater as Sophie and Jason, a couple of 30-somethings trying to choose whether or not to adopt a cat--a decision which causes them to re-evaluate their relationship and their lives.

"The Future" has a run time of 91 minutes and is rated R for some sexual content. The film, released earlier this year, is shown in English.

The Little Theatre is located at the corner of Oakland Drive and Oliver Lane on WMU's East Campus. Free off-street parking is available behind the theatre.
