WMU Symphony Orchestra celebrates Russian composers

KALAMAZOO--The Western Michigan University Symphony Orchestra will perform popular compositions by "Russian Masters" at 8:15 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, in the Dalton Center Recital Hall.

The free, public concert will feature:

• "Capriccio Espagnol," Opus 34, by Nikolai Rimsky-Korskov
• "Marche Slave," Opus 31, by Piotr Tchaikovsky
• The famous tone poem, "Night on Bald Mountain," by Modest Mussorgsky
• "The Sabre Dance," from Aram Khachaturian's ballet, "Gayane"
