Vision
The Western Michigan University Office of Government Relations will operate with transparency, civility, and inclusivity to support higher education policies benefiting the students, faculty, staff and the University. Our work will always be grounded in a spirit of bipartisan cooperation with our internal and external stakeholders.
Primary goals
- Increase federal, state and local investments to provide all WMU students with access to enhanced educational opportunities and facilities.
- Cultivate mutually beneficial partnerships between WMU's internal and external stakeholders to increase opportunities for experiential learning, research and to foster economic development.
- Advance student, faculty and staff opportunities through civic, corporate, and community engagement.
- Embrace WMU's values promoting diversity, equity, inclusion and sustainability.
