Location

Paderborn is a city of 144,000 located in North Rhine-Westphalia. Approximately 10 percent of the population of Paderborn is students. Universität Paderborn was founded in 1972, and in 2006 the computer science program was ranked among the top three programs in Germany. Paderborn is a comfortable city that is easy to navigate. It is easy to travel throughout Germany from Paderborn using the German rail system Deutsche Bahn. During the academic year many trips throughout Europe are organized by the Eurobiz student organization.

Semesters

Spring: Students arrive in Germany in January and take intensive German language courses through March. The business courses begin in April and run through July. The business courses are taught in English.

Housing

Housing through university apartments is a convenient and affordable option. In addition, food costs in Germany are some of the lowest in Europe and subsidized meals are available in the on-campus cafeteria, the Mensa. 

Available Courses

Paderborn offers courses that are the equivalent to the following WMU courses: LAW 4840—International Law; MGMT 4100—Multinational Management; MKTG 4750—International Marketing; MKTG 4780—Special Topics in Marketing; and FIN 4420—International Finance.
