Human Resource Director, Procter & Gamble

  • Groomed for Greatness

It’s not all about organizational appearances for Genevieve Biedron Wallden. As an agent for change management, she values the deep and lasting impact that can come when efforts are focused on improving work life at its core.

As human resources director for Procter & Gamble, Wallden supports the North America grooming business, which includes brands like Braun, Venus and Gillette, as well as the senior vice president for North America grooming in the United States and Canada. In past roles, she worked as an HR manager in the company’s South Boston manufacturing plant, and also spent time supporting the global grooming research and development unit.

With a gift for advancing progress in organizational culture, Wallden is most proud of the work she has done to support P&G’s North America divisions as they undergo significant organization redesign. This human resources expert has led initiatives in business strategy, equity and inclusion, talent and succession planning, and executive coaching.

Favorite WMU Professor: “The pushes that Dr. Palthe and Dr. Stamper gave me about going to grad school changed my entire trajectory for the better. I also loved Dr. Palmer’s class—he really encouraged us to be better people and think about our personal and professional impact.”
