Aaron Coney B.B.A.'12

Founder, Hustle Matters

  • The Heavyweight of Hustle

Nothing—we mean nothing—can slow Aaron Coney down. After graduating with a degree in advertising and promotion and relocating to Los Angeles, he built a career as an in-house designer for companies like Disney, Fox and Dash Radio by day and at night he pursued his side hustle: freelance appearance booking, branding and social media marketing for celebrities. After a few years of seeing good results, he decided to launch his own boutique creative marketing and management company, Hustle Matters.

Coney aims to elevate brands through game-changing creative work—whether that’s by developing compelling social content or cultivating meaningful experiences between celebrities and the fans who admire them.

He has worked with a variety of feature film, television, music and voice talent such as Sean Schemmel (the American voice of Goku in the Dragon Ball franchise), Grammy-winning producer and recording artist Jason “Problem” Martin, Dash Radio founder DJ Skee and many more.

Funniest Work Experience: “While after hours on a work-related trip, I went out with some clients, including Joey Fatone from *NSYNC. We sang karaoke to their hit ‘It’s Gonna Be Me’ and Backstreet Boys’ ‘Tell Me Why.’ It was pretty hysterical, and everyone in the karaoke bar loved it!”
