    Chief Difference Maker

Luis Perez has been motivated by a single purpose since entering the business world—make a positive impact using technology. It’s this mantra that sparked the idea to start his own company, Loop Coding Center, at age 20. The center teaches middle and high school students how to code and turn their creations into functional websites and applications.

While managing the growing business, Perez also took on a full-time role as applications engineer for Steelcase. His primary focus is supporting manufacturing and distribution systems for the company’s custom and standard SAP applications. Perez works with employees all over the world to tackle technical roadblocks and ensure operations run smoothly.

An advocate for equality and education, Perez is passionate about bringing STEM knowledge to underrepresented communities. He is the founding member of Code on Wheels, an organization committed to this effort, and regularly serves as a mentor to elementary school students. He is also part of leadership team for the Latino Network of West Michigan, an organization dedicated to bringing Latino men together for the purpose of building personal and professional relationships in the community.
