Dan Wandel is senior director of strategic insights and category management at Mark Anthony Brands. He is an insights, thought leadership, and business development leader with a deep understanding of the consumer packaged goods industry. Wandel’s experience includes helping suppliers, retailers and distributors leverage fact-based sales information, developing stories and presenting business insights, and helping companies to maximize their ROI on syndicated data solutions.
Since joining Mark Anthony Brands in 2017, Wandel has held various roles focused on building out a new-to-organization insights team and establishing the company's Flavor First narrative designed to educate retailers and distributors about the flavored alcohol category.
Previously, Wandel spent 22 years at IRI (Circana), where he co-founded their beverage alcohol client insights vertical practice area and managed large accounts, including Anheuser-Busch InBev, Boston Beer, Constellation Brands, E. & J. Gallo Winery, Mark Anthony Brands, Reyes Beverage, Sazerac, Sierra Nevada Brewing and many others.
Wandel is a graduate of Winona State University and has proudly served on the WMU Food Marketing Advisory Board since 2016.
