WMU Home > About WMU > WMU News 2006 Air Race Classic 'flight log'June 22, 2006 BATTLE CREEK, Mich.--Courtney Hedlund, a WMU flight instructor and December 2004 graduate of Western Michigan University's College of Aviation, shared pilot duties with Leslie Treppa, a December 2005 graduate who is also a flight instructor, in the June 20-23 Air Race Classic, a 2,156-mile women's cross-country event that began in Mesa, Ariz., and ended in Menominee, Mich. Racers made stops in Santa Teresa, N.M.; Ozona, Texas; Bryan, Texas; Bastrop, La.; Ada, Okla.; Lawrence, Kan.; and Albert Lea, Minn.
