Bio: 

Dr. Nash is an associate professor in Western Michigan University's Department of Gender and Women's Studies. Her current research project examines the intersections of youth, gender and magic in millennial media. She is the author of American Sweethearts: Teenage Girls in Twentieth-Century Popular Culture (Indiana UP, 2006), as well as several essays and book chapters on girls' representations in American media. Nash is the founder and moderator of the Girls Studies Scholars discussion list and she serves on the advisory board of the online Girl Museum.
