Fashion Stylist at Ropazi

I work directly with clients to assemble looks based on their style and budget preferences. I provide style tips and advice to clients to enhance their child’s wardrobe. Ropazi is a text messaging based service for busy, millennial parents who need help shopping for their children's needs. I help shop for clothes, toys, gifts, accessories, etc.

What is the most rewarding and the most challenging part of your job?

The most rewarding part of my job is hearing how excited my clients are when their children love their clothes. I have one client whose daughter loves Disney princess dresses and every time she sends me photos of her daughter glowing in her new dress, it makes me love my job even more than I already do. I've developed and established personal relationships with my clients, and when they invite me into their personal lives - it's an indescribable joy.

What activities, resources, or people helped you prepare for your career?

I would say that having a job in your field of study helps immensely. I held multiple retail positions while attending school so that combined with my coursework gave me a vast amount of knowledge and experience. My professors also helped encourage me to grab opportunities as they came my way, and that if you work hard enough, you can achieve whatever goals you have set for yourself.

What advice do you have for students looking for their career after college?

When looking for a career after college, don't settle and follow your gut. Search for jobs everywhere - across the country or close to home.
