Centers for Counseling and Psychological Services

The Centers for Counseling and Psychological Services at Western Michigan University are a service, training and research component of the Department of Counselor Education and Counseling Psychology. The centers, one in Kalamazoo and one in Grand Rapids, provide practical training opportunities for graduate students by offering affordable mental health services to residents of southwestern Michigan. Master's and doctoral degree students affiliated with the department provide professional counseling and psychological services at the centers, under supervision of faculty members who are professional counselors or psychologists.

Locations

For the convenience of our students and our serviced community members, the Centers for Counseling and Psychological Services has two main locations. Each location is primarily staffed with graduate students who are supervised by licensed professionals. Each location conducts research utilizing special facilities and advanced technology that allow for transitioning research into interactive processes.
